The Village of the Mesa in Santa Barbara has many dining experiences to delight both your taste buds and your urge to enjoy cuisines from all over the world. Since I am not much of a cook I am thrilled to have such a diverse selection from Vegan to Pizza.
I am going to be giving a quick review of each of the restaurants in the Mesa Village area, I will start with the dining experiences in the actual Village and then branch out to the waterfront and beyond.
Alcazar Tapas Bar
My favorite restaurant for light dinner and great beverages is Alcazar located at 1812 Cliff Drive near the Fire Station. I love sharing different choices on the menu which makes Alcazar Tapas a favorite. Shrimp Gambas (wish they still had the rice to accompany since the sauce ir so amazing and I want every last delectable drop) and Date with a Pig are my 1st choices to order, but the Brussel Sprouts, Avocado Hummus (which is back on the menu) and Egg on Toast are right behind. The atmosphere is cozy with old time movies playing on the wall (Pink Panther last time I was there), and now they have a few tables on the sidewalk for dining al fresco. The staff is very friendly and the prices are moderate.. Click for More Information
My go to place to eat at least 3 times a week! Good variety of delicious entrees and a spirited beverage is also available. Mornings favorite: Spinach and Feta Scramble (I have them add some Ham), Lunch: Ruben Sandwich or a bowl of Chicken Soup, Lite Bite: Chicken Wings (Yummy) and for dinner: Roast Turkey. The staff is very friendly and happy to see you, free Wifi. Click for More Information
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Santa Barbara. Not only is the food a delight, the service has been amazingly friendly, like you are the most important person that has ever come in! I love the Chicken Enchiladas and Chile Relleno. Click for More Information
